The project main stakes are the Hamburg downtown extension towards the old docks of Hafen City. The project different sections criss cross each other without imposing a unique model to the whole area. The new urban focal point, located in the neighborhood of Magdeburg harbor, forms the new centralized Hafen City backbone. Succh large scale urban renewal emphasizes a well-thought typology of integration, space usage, functionality and even water and harbor "stage design" in order to connect lifestyle and work with water, in close proximity of Hamburg downtown.
